Divine Timing

“The idea to try to depict how I feel about going into the new year came to mind, and I realized I felt nothing like the years before. I felt excited to turn 21, nervous for what the year had in store for all of us, and...calm. I didn’t feel pressured to write out all my resolutions or goals and try to get my life together. I had a deep feeling of understanding. As I reflected on the year and began to look inward, I realized that this year I wanted to make it a conscious effort to teach myself to let go of my attachment to time. Many of us, including myself, have become so consumed by the idea that time, along with your tasks, defines your level of success. We don’t need to have it all together by the age of 25. We don’t need to follow a timeline that was created by the systems to keep us in a box. This year, I allow myself to be more vulnerable with knowing and trusting that everything will happen in its own divine timing, not by the clock ticking on a wall. Our paths are ours for a reason and we will all win when we’re meant to…”
